has been an active and aggressive participant since it's inception in the early
1980's, not only in the manufacturing of but also developing concrete pavers and
systems which are (BMP's), "best management practices", for the
management and control of storm water runoff.
Under EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) guidelines, as a
permeable pavement, Four Seasons PICP is considered a BMP. EPA in
coordination with the U.S. Green Building Council are incorporating more storm
water aspects into the LEED, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design,
green building assessment system.
With
its aesthetically pleasing old world textured surface combined with today's “think
green” permeability technology, this paver
and system is truly designed for the ages.
Composition and Manufacture
"No slump" concrete mix under extreme pressure and
high frequency vibrations.
Minimum compressive strength of 8,000 psi.
Maximum water absorption of 5%.
Meets or exceeds ASTM C-936.
